Xu Lizhi, born in 1957 in Singapore, hails from Chao’an, Guangdong, and is a permanent member of the China Art Research Association.

In his early years, he attended Lihua Secondary School and later pursued further education at the University of Guelph in Canada.

Driven by his passion for calligraphy, he received guidance from Teacher He Mingliang and several other artists, concentrating on brush techniques and font structure.

He has extensively studied small regular script and has been influenced by the Dunhuang manuscripts from the Tang Dynasty, particularly enjoying the transcription of the Heart Sutra and the Diamond Sutra.

Driven by his passion for calligraphy, he received guidance from Teacher He Mingliang and several other artists, concentrating on brush techniques and font structure.

To date, he has completed over a hundred volumes of the Diamond Sutra, with his works primarily featuring fan-shaped and long scroll formats.
