Sukit Choosri is a contemporary Thai artist known for his unique blend of traditional and modern techniques in his artwork. His work often reflects themes related to Thai culture, nature, and social commentary. Choosri utilizes various mediums, including painting and mixed media, to express his ideas.

He gained significant recognition as the first Thai artist to win the UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year Award, part of the bank’s flagship art program, which launched in 2013. His winning piece, titled “One Life,” depicts a Bodhi tree shedding leaves, casting an ominous shadow on a young woman. The artwork conveys the apprehension of Thai youth about their future, symbolized by the greying lotus pod she holds, while a pink hibiscus flower tucked behind her ear and her quiet grin suggest a modicum of optimism.
